Summary
Specialised was engaged by the builder, Maben, to oversee the design and construction of mechanical systems (including BAS), electrical services, hydraulics (sewer and water), lifts, fire systems, and communications for this project.
Key tasks include managing the delivery of a building services design and documentation package prior to final sign-off, reviewing design and documentation packages to ensure compliance with PCA A-Grade Guidelines and the QIC master brief, and preparing a deviations tracking report to manage any discrepancies effectively.
Specialised oversaw the preparation of updated documentation that reflects the deviations register and liaises with relevant authorities, contractors, and client representatives, including the QIC Operations teams, to ensure the project’s outcomes are understood and met. A significant challenge for this project is meeting both NABERS and Green Star commitments, requiring careful coordination and planning to achieve sustainability goals.
