Summary
Specialised was engaged by Vicinity to oversee the delivery of the New Chadstone Shopping Centre Infrastructure and Services Masterplan, which encompassed a wide range of systems including Mechanical (including BAS), Electrical, Hydraulics (Gas, Sewer, and Water), Civil (Stormwater), Fire, and Communications.
In this role, Specialised was responsible for preparing a comprehensive report that evaluated the existing infrastructure and building services on the site, assessing the impact and limitations posed by the redevelopment efforts. Key activities included programming all commissioning and testing to align with the project’s completion date, facilitating client interface and project coordination meetings, and managing all witnessing testing conducted by the independent commissioning agent (ICA).
Specialised also led commissioning, integration, and testing meetings with contractors and the Vicinity operations team, while overseeing all trades and managing the integration of services into a converged IT network. Throughout the project, Specialised provided essential design and engineering advice to ensure effective completion and coordination of all aspects of the redevelopment.
