Summary
Specialised was engaged by La Trobe University to oversee the FY20 Plant and Equipment upgrade program across its Bundoora, Bendigo, Albury/Wodonga, and Mildura campuses.
The scope of work involved managing the delivery of the FY2020 Capital Works Program for Plant and Equipment, which included verifying the proposed upgrades and replacements while assessing the addition or reduction of scope based on installation methodologies. Specialised oversaw the preparation of a refined budget and project financial commitments, developing a prioritisation schedule in collaboration with La Trobe University’s Infrastructure, Operations, and Projects teams.
The program addressed seasonal equipment needs, such as chillers and boilers, while considering periods of low student occupancy. Additionally, Specialised implemented procurement strategies aligned with seasonal installation requirements and managed contractor and builder engagement throughout the construction phase, providing superintendent services to ensure project success.
Works Included
Oversee and manage the delivery of the FY2020 Capital Works Program for Plant and Equipment
Verification of proposed plant and equipment proposed to be upgraded to replaced. This includes the proposed addition or reduction of scope to suit installation methodologies
Oversee the preparation of a refined budget and project financial commitments
